I fear that I may be making an incorrect non-causal relationship, but here's my opinion. After reading some of the postings on the subject of ARP (many of them very insightful..thank you!) I decided to rid myself of all of the commands save the library. I have been using ARP ever since it came out. The wild carding was very handy compared to commodore's (so I think!?). This was also when I was still floppy based..space concerns. This system simply got x-fered over to the HD once I got that. After using true commodore commands I have felt that the reliablity of my system has increased SIGNIFICANTLY. I would, on this basis, and no offence to the creators of ARP, recommend sticking with commodore programs. The shell was not to my liking so I installed SKsh. (I am sorry, but I can't remember the author's name off-hand) Thank you for SKsh it is very pleasant to work in. I am suffering no side effects from going over to this en- vioronment. Conclusion: if you want (possible) increased reliablity....use commodore commands. Jay Lawrence -- // ______ // Warning: \ / <- Pretend its a lovely shade \\ // Pretentious \ / of ~~!HOT!~~ PINK!
