Something that I'd like to see for the Amiga (rather simple actually), is a bootblock that will allow you to choose different system-configuration files on booting. I know I run my Amiga in three different modes depending on what I'm doing (LACE OVERSCAN, NOLACE OVERSCAN, and NOLACE NO OVERSCAN) and would like to be able to switch without changing boot disks. Maybe this bootblock could also set some ENV: variables or something so other programs (ie. Qmouse etc...) may adjust to the new screen sizes or colours or whatever as well. Does this program exist? I didn't think it did. Treat this as kind of a suggestion for a one-evening project. I'm not at all versed in Assembler or writing boot blocks so I can't vouch for the feasibility of this project. -- Craig Lemon - Kitchener, Ontario.
