[net.micro] Commodore 64 video troubles

ecn-pa:langet (03/24/83)

I just purchased a Commodore 64 (83-03-22), and when I hooked it
to the tv the screen flickered like the vertical hold was off.
Well then I tried another tv and the horizontal hold was off, no
adjustments would help. I took the unit back to the store and
exchanged for another, same problem on both tvs! I then tried it
on my neighbors tvs and it worked fine on both! I took my tv over
to his house and it would still not work on mine. Both of my tvs
are four to five years old, one is a zenith 19" color the other
a sanyo 19" color, they both receive cable tv signals perfectly.
My neighbor says the sync from the Commodore may be off, one of
his tvs is a brand new rca color trak and the other a 20 year old
admiral b&w which he uses as a scope part time.
Anybody know what I could do to get a good picture other than buying
a tv that will accept the Commodore signal?
