[comp.sys.amiga.tech] sun c to amiga

FDHEIENO@ucf1vm.cc.ucf.edu (12/29/90)

I've just started with c so bear with me. I use a sun sparc at work
and I'm wondering if there is a utility to run c programs on a sun and
transport them to my amiga at home???? Like I said, this c is new to
me. If possible email responses at
         dfw@phys.physics.ucf.edu
THANKS !!!

I believe Amiga gcc can do something like this.

Programs compiled on a Sun won't run on an Amiga.

However, if you have a telecommunications program on the Sun (such as
kermit or sz + rz) and a terminal emulator program on your Amiga
(such as Vt100, Handshake, Access, etc), then you can copy the files
from the Sun to your Amiga. Then, if you have purchased a C compiler
for the Amiga, you can re-compile the programs and run them on
your amiga.
