I have checked Winsor's subroutine on my Osborne, which has a 4 Mhz clock. Timing (by stop-watch, for 65535 calls) came out at 53.4 usec. Results were exact for every dividend divisible by 10 from FFFA to A. I made an alternate attempt, which is also exact; but the timing was 82.5 usec. Can anyone do better than Winsor? T. W.
