[comp.sys.amiga.tech] NEC Multisync 4D and Amiga

L33QC@CUNYVM.BITNET (01/22/91)

I just bought a NEC Multisync 4D monitor, and it's supposed to have a
resolution of 1024 x 768. However, by adjusting the system-configuration,
the most I have been able to get is about 704 x 474... Does anyone out there
know how I can make the Amiga utilize the full resolution of the monitor?
Any help appreciated... Thanks...

Buy a ULowell board. The monitor has a _maximum_ resolution of 1024x768,
but that doesn't mean am stock amiga can generate that.

Alternatively, if you have 2.0, a super Agnus, and a super Denise, you
should be able to get about 1280x600. (PAL, super-hires overscan).
Of course, that would only be in 4 colors...
