[comp.sys.amiga.tech] AUX:

I wonder if it's possible to get aux: to take input/send output
to another device. (i.e. parallel.device or modem0.device)

I'd like to plug in several terminals at the same time.
Useful if I manage to convert MUD to the Amiga.
(it limits the joy of MUD having just one player at the serial port
and me on the console)
With a modified aux: I'd have 3 players+me at the same time which could
improve things quite a bit.
The only alternative is a multi-serial board with good software.

p.s Is there a unix library available for the Amiga. My lattice seems
    to miss some unix functions.

What's the state of the AUX: art? Are there apps available (and can one
suppress the system's filerequestor windows)? After ignoring it for a couple
of years I suddenly came down with the urge to run a terminal (my wife has
started typing for dollars . . .) I think I need a basic editor -- how
about a vi clone? Or whatever. I'd hate to have to write my own. Maybe an
Adventure, too for entertainment. Thanks.
