Does anyone know of work done with chaotic systems in AI? I'm looking for
non-technical stuff (I'm an undergraduate taking a class in chaos.) I'd be
interested mainly in survey articles or books.

				   Thanks,

I will assume you mean the application of AI to chaotic dynamical
systems. There is a group at MIT -- Gerry Sussman and Hal Abelson
being the ring leaders -- who have been doing work on the automated
analysis of dynamical systems, including chaos. Check the content and
references in these two articles as a start:

"Intelligence in Scinetific Computing", H. Abelson, et al, Comm. of the ACM
32(5), 546-562, 1989.

"The Bifurcation Interpreter: A Step Towards the Automatic Analysis of
Dynamical Systems, H. Abelson, Computers Math. Appl., Vol 20, No. 8,
13-35, 1990.

The converse -- using chaos, and dynamical systems for building
intelligence -- is a long story to be told another time.
