The following program is now posted on comp.binaries.ibm.pc. ODE - AN IBM PC interactive simulator for systems of ordinary differential or difference equations. Intended for educational use or small research problems. Assumes basic undergraduate knowledge of math, but has been used at high school level. Especially useful for demonstrating chaotic systems. Version 2.5 Format: 6 part uuencoded zoo archive. To unpack on MSDOS (assuming the parts are ode1.uue, ode2.uue,...,ode6.uue): uudecode ode looz x ode ODE is an IBM PC simulator for continuous or discrete systems. Features: Easy-to-use menus with mouse support. Equations entered in natural notation, stored in ASCII files. Automatic plotting (CGA,EGA,VGA), laser printer support. Several different ode algorithms, up to 6th order. Many examples included, including chaotic. Printed manual for registered users. Versions 1 and 2 are used at about a dozen Australian universities. Version 2.5 is now released. Author: Keith Briggs matkmb@lure.latrobe.edu.au.oz Mail: PO Box 75 Heidelberg West Australia 3081
