[net.micro] The 100 Dollar and cheaper computer

doehring (04/07/83)

The $99.95 price is also available here in CT. Both at Child World as
mentioned in the original article and at a place called Sounds Alive.
I picked up the VIC-20 last night and am happy with it so far.

For $48, ( including the $15 rebate from TIMEX ) this same place has the
Timex T-1000 ( ZX-81 ). This is a great deal if you want one, less than
$50!

I went to Tech Hi-Fi to see if they would match the price, as they say
they will in their add, but they would not do so ( grumble ) and they told
me why the VIC-20 is priced so low, they are comming out with the VIC-21,
which is a VIC-20 with 16K of memory builtin.

Hoping to hear more about the VIC,

P.S. I got the Pointmaster joystick from Sounds Alive for $13.95
	and I really like it.
