I'm seeking accounting programs (accts receivable, especially) that are sufficiently straightforward and well documented that another program can produce input transactions for the accounting programs. So far, it looks like my specialized applications must either reinvent accounts receivable, or must print the data on paper for a person to type right back into the accounting program, since the A/R programs I've looked at so far make it all but impossible to enter data except through the keyboard. Transferring data from one file to another via a printer, a human, and a keyboard seems like such a waste . . . Pointers to useful and flexible A/R programs would be appreciated; CP/M, MSDOS preferred, Pascal or BASIC preferred, but as they say, any port in a storm . . . -------
