[comp.sys.handhelds] catalog/units confusion

nu216002@plains.UUCP (Tyrone Z. Jackson) (02/24/90)

hi all,

I quite new to this notesfile and the hp29s.
I have few qustions regarding the hp29s. I have been having some problems
using the catalog/units menus on the hp. There is a key labeled 'fetch'
but I no seem to get it to work. The only way that I can seem to get the
calculator out of either of these modes is to press the on key.

htanks,

Tyrone.

I believe you mean to have eight here (8) you have a hp28S

I've had the same problem and have found one quick way out to be to simple press the sequence on-quit-next that escapes to native mode. Maybe to Cold
restart by taking the Batteries out for a few days.
Any of these above algorithms should work.

Thanks, Yin
