Hello out there, I think I found out why HP_toolkit SYS program causes crashes/memory losts, I have now rewritten all 15K I lost last time and tried SYS again. (I didn't learn anything..or did I) and first I found that the old CHKSUM program gave wrong cheksum for SYS, but the new CHK posted few weeks ago returned it right. Now the old CHKSUM changes your wordsize to 16 AND when you run SYS after that you get the # FFCEh SYSEVAL which possibly causes something nasty. After I changed wordsize to 64 and ran SYS all went just as it should have. I got # CFFCEh SYSEVAL and the program returned "system object" to stack. So, as someone mentioned the old CHK or CHKSUM does not count right checksum value all the time. And when running SYS see that your wordsize is 64. At least it helped me. ( above syseval adresses are from my memory, which alas, is poor so don't take them literally, the difference in size of the syseval adress was however clear when changing wordsize.)
