Apropos of the month names discussion: The "planets" are in order from furthest to nearest, Saturn, Jupiter (Thor), Mars (Tiw), the Sun, Venus (Freya), Mercury (Wotan), the Moon. The planets rule each hour cyclically. Each day is named for the planet that rules the first hour of the day. Since 24 mod 7 is 3, count cyclically by 3's starting with Saturn and you get the names of the week days. Lew Mammel, Jr. ihuxr!lew
