I am curious to know if anyone has archived the articles from this newsgroup. If so, where? I am specifically interested in articles about ML programming, hardware, system-level software. Any pointers would be appreciated. (I did get the rom notes and Alonzo Gariepy's excellent processor notes) If an archive doesn't exist, if anyone out there has saved interesting articles, I would appreciate copies. E-mail is probably appropriate. If there is some repsponse, I'll summarize and post to this group. Could someone send me a summary of all this? Thanks in advance! JC

Could someone send me a >summary of all this? Me too! I have been using an HP28 for the past 3 years (I started with a C, then got an S when it was available) but I know nothing about checksums, etc (and the archived ftp programs somewhere). If anyone has some newuser file, *please* pass a copy on to me! By the way, I have lots and lots and lots of programs that I've written for the HP28s, since (don't laugh, folks, I'm a technonerd) I was captain of the calculator team for our high school's math team. Here are some programs I've written: Factorization Programs: Prime Factors, Greatest Common Factor/Least Common Multiple, Sum of a series, Product of a series. Fractions: Add, Subtract, Mulitply, Divide, Reduce to lowest terms, find the nth digit to the right of the decimal Linear Programming: Phase II of the Simplex Method (Note: this program is useable, but I could improve them with time) Statistics: Calculate the Standard Normal, Store a data unit n times Base Conversions: Convert from base 2...36 to base 10, convert from base 10 to base 2...36 Graphics: Parametric Equations Grapher, Polar Equations Grapher Fun: Charge!, Music Maker, Scrolling Banner Note that these are all programs that *I've* written. I also have Quadratic Equation Solver, a fast numerical answer to ax^2+bx+c=0 written by a math teacher at my high school. Note that I can't get these all on the net right now, because I am in the middle of midterms, but these can be distributed at the end of the month. Thanks for any new usergroup info! ------- Gregory D. Glockner Bitnet: GLOGRED@YALEVM Disclaimer: I played it better at home.
