I have pretty much decided that the extra features that the HP82240B printer has over the ()A version are not worth tossing out the A and plopping down $120 or so on the B (at least for me). These things cost lots of money, and are of only mediocre usefulness IMHO. The question is... would it be possible to upgrade the A to a pseudo-B by swapping in a ROM? (I know that an aftermarker ROM made all of the difference for my humble Epson RX80 printer.) Are the folks at HP willing to support that sort of effort for their die-hard customers?
