Flame mode on! Some people seem to have gotten the strange idea that this groups exists solely to satisfy their personal information needs; the complain about the amount of HP-48SX traffic (before that it was the HP-28). These people also generally want to know "why aren't there more postings concerning the ZGP-87 (arbitrary non-HP device)?". These types of questions seem to pop up in most new groups from time to time. The remainder of this posting is directed to these people. Get with it, people! The people who post useful information to this group are not being paid a salary to do so; there is not an editorial staff to determine what the contents of the postings should be. If you want to see more ZGP-87 related postings, you and the other ZGP-87 owners will have to generate them. The ZGP-87 may be a wonderful device, but the fact is that I don't have one, and unless someone gives me one or convinces me to buy one, I am going to continue using what I do have. It has been suggested that a comp.sys.handhelds.hp or comp.sys.hp.handhelds or some such group be created. Do you really think this will inspire more people to write about the ZGP-87? I am interested in most of the handhelds that are available. The information I don't want, I can easily avoid. Surely the news reader you use doesn't force you to read every article. I would like to see EVEN MORE about the HP-28 and HP-48, since I have both. I do not, however, post complaints about too many ZGP-87 related postings, nor do I post generic requests like "Why can't we have more of <something>?". Instead, I am working on developing useful programs to post for the benefit of others, since each person's contribution will encourage and inspire others to contribute as well. In summary, if you want to hear more about the ZGP-87, POST INFORMATION AND PROGRAMS YOURSELF. Whining won't solve anything. Flame mode off :-) I would also like to take this opportunity to thank those people who are making valuable contributions to this group. I won't list them, as I would surely omit someone, but thanks!!! Opinions expressed herein are not necessarily those of my employer, family, friends, computer, or even me! :-)
