It's getting annoying swimming through these one line posts of people
apparently trying to subscribe to the mailing list, and failing
violently. This is how you do it, people. Send private MAIL to
LISTSERV@NDSUVM1.bitnet containing no subject and one line of text:
SIGNON HP-28
That's it. The server will get your address from the header and soon
you'll receive a file explaining the list and the checksum program.
Then your mailbox will be bombarded by all kinds of duplicate posts
from this newsgroup and lots of other fun stuff. Enjoy! And for
those trying to get *off* the mailing list (an understandable wish),
replace "SIGNON" with "SIGNOFF".
(My message here is that if you have access to this newsgroup, you're
probably not going to want to bother with the mailing list. But to
each his own...)
