[comp.sys.handhelds] HP-48SX: What's next?

jokim@jarthur.Claremont.EDU (John H. Kim) (03/27/90)

I can't get a 48SX yet (I'm gonna have to hold on to my 28s for a
while--no $$$ )-:), and I've also had the misfortune of buying a
41CV a month before the 41CX came out. So I'm wondering, is the
48SX going to be the flagship of HP calculators for the next few
years, or is something better in the works? When should we expect
the bugs in ROM versions A,B,C, and D to be worked out? Are there
going to be any improved models (like 41C -> 41CV -> 41CX)? Does
anyone have a spy at HP that can answer these questions?

btw, the trig functions on the 41CV died. Anyone wanna buy a 41CV
w/o trig functions? Or anyone know where I can get it fixed cheap?
(HP said it would cost >$50)
