I have downloaded several programs from the HP BBS including
the programs to print graphics to epson and laserjet printers and the
stopwatch program.
Is there any reason why I could not post them here? I think they are
public domain but I am not sure.

The HP software that appears on the PC Link disks and on the bulletin board is not quite "public domain." It is copywrited, with permission to reproduce for private use. Software developers who wish to incorporate this HP software into their own programs for sale should request permission from HP.
