I'd like to get some output (anything -- just plain ASCII strings) from the HP-28 to the HP-48. When I try SRECV or BUFLEN on the 48, all I get is null strings or framing errors. I've tried the various baud rates, and the 48 is receiving _something_ -- what am I missing? -- edp (Eric Postpischil) "Always mount a scratch monkey." edp@jareth.enet.dec.com

You must use a special program to read data from the 28S. The program INPRT was posted earlier in this notes group or is available on the HP PC-LINK disk, or the HP bulletin board (503) 750-4448. You will need a cable to load the program into your 48S Preston

You need to get INPRT from the SerialKit disk or else from the HP BBS. Phone (503)750-4448. INPRT makes your 48 emulate an IR printer. You can point your 28, 17B, or even 41/IR module at it, press the appropriate PRINT function, and end up with only mildly cluttered stuff on the HP48's display.
