[comp.sys.handhelds] CHIP HP Handheld Conference - 6/2/90

Jake-S@cup.portal.com (Jake G Schwartz) (06/10/90)

The CHIP (Chicago-area) HP Handheld Conference was held at HP's Rolling
Meadows, Ill. facility and was a great success. Fifty five or so attendees
were treated to a wide range of presentations, demonstrations and talks
primarily on HP48-related topics. Both Bill Wickes and Eric Vogel of HP
Corvallis were on hand to give talks (on the HP48 and the HP Solve Equation
Library Card) and to answer questions and such. They both also attended the
informal gatherings both the evening before (on Fri. 6/1) and the evening
after the conference (Sat. 6/2). Below is a list of the speakers and their
topics. Each attendee received a set of proceedings (about 120 pages counting
extra sheets which didnt get bound into the book) plus a 5-1/4 inch floppy
disk with various HP48 "goodies" on it. (On Saturday night, another floppy
containing still more stuff - including the HP48 Library Builder - was
generated and distributed to all as well.)
