I've been looking around for small languages for the Portfolio. I have tinybasic 8086, which is an amazing 2.7K (it's very limited, but it works) and miniforth (around 3.5K). The problem is that I'd like something non-BASIC (though tiny basic is fine for little stuff), and the miniforth won't load from a file, which makes it little more than a toy, since you have to type everything in and then you lose it when you quit. So does anybody have a tiny forth/lisp/c/pascal/anything that might run on the Portfolio (and lets you load from a file)? If anybody needs the languages I've got so far (tiny basic, miniforth), or the set of programs for bootstrapping file transfer via the serial port (chksum.com, hexbin.com, tmxm2.hex), you can send me mail. It's difficult to get hold of these things without a compuserve account (I know). Thanks. Tom O'Brien Rockefeller University obrien@rockvax.rockefeller.edu Computing Services
