I have recently discovered a nice program that will store names, addresses, phone numbers, and anything else you might want. It has smooth scroll and search routines and a number of interesting things. BUT it was written for the hp28s. It uses an opject called BAG and another called SCR both written by Alonzo Gariepy. The full program I am talking about is by B. Fahller. This are my questions. Does anybody have BAG or SCR for the hp48sx? Does anybody have the list.handler that I am talking about? I just recently saw a list handler posted here but this is something differnet. If anybody has this could you please get in touch with me. thanks. For all you people who are not responding to my request for a comm program because you think that everyone else is already....they aren't. Here's a few seconds of the endless tape loop I currently have running. "...program...I need the comm program...I need the" ;) ;) For anyone who responds, thanks. For those who don't, thanks (You might someday.) Ian Frechett frechett@snoopy.colorado.edu frechett@tramp.colorado.edu frechette_i%cubldr@spot.colorado.edu

PIG and BAG are just my versions of PEEK and POKE for the 28S. I named them differently to distinguish them from earlier PEEK and POKE routines. On the 48SX, they are called PEEK and POKE. I will post downloadable binaries, uuencoded, of all my machine language programs for the 48. This is, by far, the easiest way to transfer, until someone writes an assembler that outputs 48SX binary files. SCR will have to be completely rewritten for the 48SX, which uses an entirely different display strategy. I cannot see why POKE or SCR are absolutely necessary for your list program. You should be able to replace them with a little work. alonzo

You all know what I would say here so I won't. > >SCR will have to be completely rewritten for the 48SX, which uses an >entirely different display strategy. This program that I meantioned it quite big. I don't have the skills to decipher it at this point. (I AM working on it. I am also up to my neck in UNIX and C.) I would REALLY like to have this particular program running or one that will do the same thing. Part of the code uses your routines though. I guess I will have to wait until I can write the program myself (a long time) or someone else modifies it. (maybe a long time.)
