[comp.sys.handhelds] Sharp Wizard series serial comms

fozzy@bhpese.oz.au (Andrew Steele) (07/12/90)

I hope someone out there can help me.

Has anyone written a program that will read and write stuff over the serial
port of a Sharp Wizard? I would expect it would be similar to the one recently
posted for the Casio BOSS. I've put a line analyser onto it and can figure
out what most of what each packet is for however there are still a few hassles:
	1. How is the checksum calculated?
	2. Does anyone have a complete list of message packet header id's.

My problem is that I want to connect my Wizard to our Unix box at work and
to my Amiga at home and the only software available is for the PC or Mac.

Whilst I could probably manage to figure it out I thought I'd save
re-inventing the wheel.
