In some recent messages, which were started by a question about survey programs for the HP48, there have been questions about a demo card and an HP41CV emulator card for the HP48. Well, the demo card is available - to dealers. If you want to see one in action (or get your parents to see it ;-] ), wander along to a dealer and ask for a demonstartion of the HP48. If you want to get one yourself, try ordering a 100 HP48s so's they'll treat you as a dealer. Then ask for a dealer's kit, and use the demo to sell the other 100 to your friends ;-). Of course, you'll need a lot of friends! The PC disc which HP were offering free, in their advertising, goes through exactly the same demonstration as the demo card, but on a PC display. It may be less helpful if you want to convince your parents, though. As for the HP41CV Emulator card, I hear that it is very close to completion, but I guess there may be boring things like the actual production, packing, and shipping, to be dealt with yet, before you can actually buy one. On past experience, EduCALC will be one of the first places to have the product once it is released. As usual, I speak only for myself, not for HP, my employers, or EduCALC.
