OK, folks, here's the latest on plastic connectors... I did get the connectors last Wednesday (two days late, but tolerable). They look very nice to me, and have the 2mm spacing. I'm going to personally stick and glue all of the pins in, since you need either epoxy or a "Zap!"-type superglue (best) to do it, and I assume not too many of you have that at hand. I was very busy this past week and didn't get a chance to put in the pins. But I'm going to try my hardest to get them all out this coming week (I gotta get back to college in two weeks and won't have any more time! :-( ). All in all, each of you who ordered a connector from me will be getting the following: --- An ugly little white plastic connecter, with 4 pins (on 2mm spacing!) sticking out, permanently attached to the plastic housing --- A small length of heat shrink tubing that you get to cut into 4 and cover the pins after you've soldered wires to them --- A smaller length of larger heat shrink tubing to cover the whole thing when you're done --- My apologies that this has taken so long For those interested, the housing is 3/16" polycarbonate... I'll try to get through reading everybodys' e-mail requests as soon as I can (there are about 40K of them!). Thank you all for your patience. Nobody has requsted their $1 back yet, and my lawyer hasn't informed me of any class action suits, so it looks like my house won't get torched after all... :-) ---Joel Kolstad kolstad@cae.wisc.edu
