[comp.sys.handhelds] Amiga IFF to GROB

kcsa@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu (09/15/90)

A slightly obscure offering:

One day I was bored, and asked myself, "what could I write
that would be minimally usefull, and take up an entire Saturday?"

Answer: An Amiga program to convert IFF brushes to GROBs.

Few frills, but it works great. Just create the brush in DPAINT, save it,
and convert.

Since I'm not sure if anyone would use it, a will refrain from posting
the potentially large uuencoded file, but if you are interested, send me
email.

PS: I am also working on several other Amiga/HP48SX programs if anyone is
interested (as HP has not bothered).

Hey Matt!

You would not be-LIEVE how many HP48 users have Amigas! (Some of them
even work for HP in the calculator gang, but I don't know their names...)

If you would post your Amiga offerings on the HP BBS, you would make many
people happy -- even ecstatic. Especially HP. They already have contributors
for Atari ST and other "off-brand" (ahem) computers. I don't know if they
have an Amiga contributor or not, but by all means, let us have the Amiga
stuff!

(No reason why you couldn't post Amiga code on the HP BBS. Just make sure
it's labeled as such.)

The HP BBS has a 2400-baud line at (503)750-4448 and a 9600-baud line at
... I forget. :-(

Let 'er rip!

I'll try and upload both iff2grob and anything else I can dig up.
Thanks for the input.

P.S.: To those of you who asked for the iff2grob program personally, I have
moved to a new system, and have lost your letters, sorry 8-(.
If you're still interested please re-mail me. Thanks.
