Recently I bought an Atari Portfolio together with the serial port
module. I hoped to be able to transfer text and programs to and *from*
my IBM and Mac with this equipment, but the manual for the serial port
says that the built in communication software can only be used with the
parallel port. OK, there is no problem in transfering things *to*
another computer, simply print things or copy them to AUX.
But how can I *download* software to the Portfolio ?
I think there has to be some kind of bootstrap software.
Any suggestions, any help ?? Or am I really forced to buy the parallel
interface ?
