Is there anyone out there who has a Macintosh II, an HP48SX, and a serial cable? I can't make a MacII communicate with my HP48. I have been successful with with a Mac+ however. In fact, I have used the same software with all the same settings, only exchanging the two Macs. With the type of Mac as the only variable, communication is no go with the MacII. I would sincerely appreciate any and all insight into this matter. The ability to communicate with a MacII was one of the *primary* reasons I purchased the HP48. -- Daniel C. you have to push the cable in somewhat(apply a moderate amount of pressure) to adequately insert the cable(I found this out the day I got it, when it worked on SE/30s and pluses, but not a II) for people who can design a calculator, I wouldn't trust them to do anything simple they always manage to screw up(better buy a 48 for those complex volume calculations(ie. the HUGE square connector(biggest I've seen for a Mini 8, just doesn't cut it on a REAL Mac...the serial ports are more reces than on the other Macs)
