tucc mentioned that he has some nice pamphlets from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) discussing bit-slice microprocessors. He was also not sure if they are still in print. Well yes Virginia you can still get them, but in a different form. The pamphlets have been packaged into a book and they are availible from McGraw Hill. If you want to know about AMD stuff, this is a good place to start (but since the introduction of the book, most every AMD part has gotten much faster due to internal use of ECL circuits.).
