I have seen many postings recently about the possibilities of converting HP48 and HP28 I/R outputs to RS232. I wonder if this should be added to the list of FAQ's? Anyway, It _is_ possible. I have designed decoders for both machines, and the designs are public domain. The HP28 one is output-only, works at 4800 baud, and the circuit is available as a set of 5 HPGL files and instructions. The HP48 one is bi-directional, works at 2400 baud, and the circuit is available as a TTYpic. I posted that to the net a few months back, If enough people haven't seen it and want it, I can re-post again. It is reliable, the Boolean Algebra and Digital Simulator programs were both up-loaded by it, and I have also down-loaded much stuff from here. -tony Duell ARD @ UK.AC.BRIS.SIVA (JANET) ARD @ SIVA.BRIS.AC.UK (Bitnet)
