[comp.sys.handhelds] Sharp ES 6160/6190?

doug@eris.berkeley.edu (Doug Merritt) (11/19/90)

I just saw a tiny & cheap calendar/calculator with "data transfer
capability", the Sharp ES 6160 (and its big brother, the 6190).

I've been wanting something in an electronic calendar that I could
put in my wallet (or on my wrist), and also interface with my computers
(Suns & Amiga's, therefore implying that I'd write my own software,
which is no problem).

Anyone know anything about the "data transfer capability" in these
things, or how I could find out? E.g. does Sharp have a technical
support phone number? RS232 is what I need to end up with, and I'm
pretty rusty with hardware hacking.

(Suggestions for *anything* that meets these criteria are also welcome:
wallet sized or wristwatch, RS232 availability, info available for
writing interface s/w for "uncommon" computers)
	Thanks,
