[comp.sys.handhelds] ASCII transfers

I've been trying to send a grob to my pc in ASCII mode, so I can run
grob2tif on it.

I keep getting Not Sufficient Memory error.  The grob is 7k.  I have about 
37k free.  It transfers fine in binary mode. 

Any ideas? Something obvious?
