[comp.sys.handhelds] "large" rolodex on a portfolio or boss

  I work for a company that wants to put 3000-4000 names and file numbers
(4 digits) on an atari portfolio or casio boss.  Would one of these
pocket computers with ram expansions be able to hold this much information?
Assuming that it can hold at least half of the names (A-L), does the
machine get sluggish?    If anybody has tried something similiar please
post or mail me replies.
