[comp.sys.handhelds] What do do with HP28s

frechett@boulder.Colorado.EDU (-=Runaway Daemon=-) (11/27/90)

Just a note for all of those trying to get rid of their HP28ss. I was just
looking through an old Educalc catalog, (Don't have a new one) and I
found something of interest. They call it T I P for Trade in Program.

"Trade in your used HP 41CV, HP 41CX or HP 28S. Just send it to us, insured,
in working order, with all its manuals. Take Credit on your Order --- $45
Credit for a 41CV, $60 for a 41CX, $60 for a 41 card reader, or $60 for a 28S
--- and pur the oder and your check right in the box.
If you prefer to keep your old instrument until your new HP 48SX arrives,
just send iit to us later, along with its Owners Manual and a copy of the sales
reciept for you new machine ---- We'll send you your refund check right away."

I know that many of you are trying to get over $100 for the 28S but I don't
think most people really have a chance of getting it. Around here, there are
numerous messages tacked about people wanting to get rid of theirs 28Ss and I
have seen very few of them actually sell. Consider it.
Credit orders. 1-800-633-2252 Ext 350
FAX orders 1-714-582-1445
Cust service 1-800-667-7001
Tech support and
Purchase Orders 1-714-582-2637

I am in no way affiliated with Educalc and haven't even bought anything
from them yet, but I know several people personally that might be interested
in this offer so I thought it appropriate to post.

My old HP28S makes an excellent door-stop.
