I have found the following prices for the HP-48SX:

J&R Music World (800) 221-8180 $269.95
Elek-Tek (800) 395-1000 $249.00
Does anyone know of any other legitimate (i.e., not grey market)
mail-order vendor with a better price?
Also: Has anyone had any bad experiences with any of the above vendors?

No bad experiences. But beware they do have a no exchange or refund policy except for defective mechandise - if that concerns you. But I didn't mail order either...
