Erik Bryntse recently (Nov. 17) posted a "Fast Tetris" which is indeed a fine program. However, I have a problem running it and am not sure whether this problem is in the code, in my machine, or in the stars. Please note that I always run the prog. in STD mode, as recently advised. The rectangle which defines the "playing field" seems to be displayed three lines too high -- i.e., the top of the rectangle is offscreen (above the top of the display), and the bottom of the rectangle is three lines above the bottom of the screen. New blocks are added to the display (to my way of thinking) too far down -- about 20% of the way down the screen. I have checked the version of the code in my 48, and all numbers match those in the original posting. Is this problem inherent to the code, or is my display memory offsetting in an odd way? Thanks!

This is exactly the way that it should be. The real tetris does not have a top to the screen and the way that pieces are placed is that they scroll very quickly down from the top and then stop about 20% of the way down and go at normal speed so that you can move them. There is nothing wrong with this.. ian -- +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+ THERE WILL BE NO STUDENT DEFERMENTS!!
