After 10 years of excellent service it is finally time to replace my HP41C. Does anyone out there have any recomendations, comments, etc. concerning possible replacements? My biggest requirements are RPN and base conversions. Programmability would be nice. (BTW: Does anyone know anything about the HP SOLVE function on some of HP's lower models?) I realize that the 48SX is one of the best, but I think it would be overkill for my applications. I have been considering the HP42S but that may still be more calculator (handheld?) than I need. One of the features I did like about the 42S is that it would run programs written on the 41C. (Are there any good methods for transfering programs from the 41C to the 42S?) Thanks to Greg Christy <gmc@Quotron.COM> for the summary of mail order sources. If anyone knows of ones other than EduCALC, Elek-Tek, J&R Music World, and 47th St. Photo I would like to know about them. I guess responses via email would be best and I will sumarize to the net. Thanks in advance.
