I have forgotten how to kermit directly to my SLC's ttya port. I tried % kermit -l /dev/ttya -b 9600 but it gave me a permission denied error. Could someone please help me? Thanks Kevin Ruland ksr1492@cec1.wustl.edu

RE: % kermit -l /dev/ttya -b 9600 You have to be root (superuser) to manipulate the tty lines in this manner. Also, make sure the ttya line is not enabled int he /etc/ttytab file. If it is, it may cause probs. BTW, this works real well on my 3/260! Good Luck, Rick rwagoner@sun.com
