[comp.sys.handhelds] HP41CX to HP48SX

akcs.cjelinek@hpcvbbs.UUCP (Christopher Jelinek) (01/22/91)

Will the infrared printer module allow programs and data to be
transmitted to the HP48SX? If so do I just use the program which came
with the serial interface cable? Thanks.

With regard to uploading programs and data from the HP41 to the HP48 via
the IR module, you can use the INPRT program to accept them into the HP48,
but they will only then be string objects in the HP48. For HP41 programs
to actually RUN in the HP48, one must upload the code with the HP41
IR module to an HP48 with the HP41CV Emulator Card installed. It has a
capture mode which will grab the HP41 program and translate into something
that the HP48 can understand and execute.
