Hi folks - I keep reading about people scrambling to get the checksum of strings so as to be able to create their own objects via the ASC-> routine. This will all be obsolete, as soon as we can coax Rick Grevelle to post his new "Hacker's Toolbox" routines here in c.s.h. He tells me he is almost finished writing the article. One pair of routines performs like ASC-> and ->ASC, but does NOT require messing around with checksums at all. You simply key in the string, press the button and you have the object, clean and simple. Hey Rick - can we count on you to tell the rest of the world soon? <grin> Jake Schwartz
