I used to have a version D and you know, it really doesn't matter what bugs you have, but doesn't it irk you that you have a less-than-perfect machine which you thought you have .... and if only you waited a little while to buy one, or if you bought a bit earlier, you can now get a version E. Anyways, I was furious when I learned that HP would not replace version D. I almost went to the store and bought another one, then switched the calculators and got my refund for the second calculator. But I found out that I still have a conscience!! (Besides most stores won't let you refund calculators!!) (Did I say that ... no way ..) Anyways, may be HP changed their policy now. They told me that certain older models of version D were eligible for replacement, but most newer ones were not. To find out, all you have to do is call them and give them your serial number. They'll tell you. But if you are as upset about this as I was, write them a letter, pour out your heart and soul. May be they'll listen, may be they won't. They are nice people and they'll tell you what to expect. (Oh, I am not in anyway affiliated to HP, but I don't mind working for them one day :-))!! Finally, all I can remember about bugs in version D that really bothered me was: 1) polar coordinates problem, 2) system crash during archive sometimes! -- Benjamin Yu University of Toronto CSNET, UUCP, BITNET: Department of Computer Science byu@csri.toronto.edu Toronto, Ontario Canada M5S 1A4 byu@csri.utoronto.ca (o)(416)978 - 4299 (h)(416)470 - 8206 {uunet,watmath}!csri.utoronto.edu!byu
