From: RICHARD HPS on ERCC DEC-10 <okeefe.r.a.%edxa@Brl-Bmd.ARPA> -------- Some friends of mine want to buy an M68000. They were quite impressed by the Sage-II (especially the year's free maintenance offer), BUT the Fortran compiler you get with the UCSD p-system does not conform to any known standard. It may be the cat's pyjamas for writing programs in, but they're interesting in using existing F77 (and F66!) programs, {interested^} NOT in writing their own. Does anyone know of a good standard-conforming compiler? Ability to handle existing F77 and/or F66 programs is more important than the speed of the object code. Does anyone know of any good statistics packages which have been ported to the M68000? GENSTAT would be ideal, but MINITAB or BMDP would do. (Not SPSS. That joke's worn thin.) Does anyone know of any good structural engineering packages which have been ported to the M68000? Especially ones relating to designing with concrete. Thanks.
