Wow! I'm amazed no-one has mentioned the PCWeek article on Jaguar (posted elswhere today), and it was sitting on my desk for two days. I'm devastated if 'sources close to both companies' are correct. Lotus 1-2-3 2.2 built in. (yaaargh) What if I never use lotus, and want to use something else or have the space instead. "At the touch of a calculator button" - oh-oh chicklet keyboard syndrome - will I be able to take notes effectively? I was hoping for a 80286 (not 8088) with Poqet like keyboard, and plug what you want in (like the 48's ROM and RAM cards). To mollify my initial complaints based on mere rumors. I'm not only sure that the machine will be, in all other ways, up to HP's usual standards of excellence, but also this is only a beginning of, hopefully, a continuing line of such machines. I've been hearing about this machine for a long time, and guess I've built up unreasonable expectations! -- Jeremy |-) Smith smithj@jacobs.cs.orst.edu
