This is for Joe Horn and who ever dosen't know about how the version F discussion started. If you look at the header on the PDLXFER.LIB file on the PDL diskette ( or the pDL Demo Disk) you will notice that the header is version F. But you see that you cannot conclude that there is a version F because the header can be changed on any file. I think Joe knows this the tbest. Remember the last meeting at your place . ;). Kevin Vashi. BTW see you on Friday.

Kevin and all: Thanx for the Rev F info. For those who still believe that the version number can be safely deduced from a file's header, take a peek at the PACK program I posted some time ago. Moral: it can so easily be changed to F or G or Z, that it isn't a reliable source of information. -- Joe Horn --

Wuestion: why would anyone change a header to a diff. Rev #? After all, of course it's possible i, but if the person posted the message said he/she sw it from HP, why would HP have changed it, just to annoy the hell out of people? BTW someone posted right after the first message about the rumour being true and the EQ writer speed thing, to that person: is there a F or not? Has anyuone called Mary Jo and found out? ---Falco p.s.: sorry about thhe splelling mistakes, I'm on hpcvbbs and I don't feel like waiting for 2 minutes after typing each workd out to see if it is correct or not.
