Hi again,
I just want to say that I've changed my mind. It does seem that a split
is necessary! I looked at my subject lists this morning and it
just as well could have been c.s.splitgroup :-) but in amongst all
the bickering I noted a lot of good stuff for the 48sx. I don't think
c.s.hp48 is a good idea, but I like something along the lines
of c.s.rpl or even c.s.hp (but doesn't that already exist) or
something non-machine specific. If other products come along
I want to know about them and I might miss them if I only listen
to c.s.hp48. Sorry I'm getting lost!! Isn't it possible to have
c.s.h subject specific (at least for the first 5 letters of the subject)
so that those who don't want to read HP48 stuff don't even get sent it?
Do you see what I mean? When you join c.s.h (still one group,not split)
you tell it what you want to know about (changeable in the future)
and you only get sent the postings relating to that subject. I'm
sure this must be possible, and it keeps the group one big happy family.
I don't know I started with such good intentions in this letter
but have dissapeared up my own a**e.
