I have need of a few of you good people to beta a dumb terminal program I just finished. It's written in a combination of machine code and interpreter threads, so I don't expect you to edit it. I just want to get some feedback on things like keyboard layout, etc. before I release it on the unsuspecting public :-) It would be nice if you had decent knowledge of HP user code, since I also want to test the limits of the 'macro language' (well, actually it just runs userlang programs) as far as interaction with the main program. If you don't want to beta but do want the program, close your eyes and count backwards from 1000000 to 0, open your eyes, and voila! It will be posted (that's about a week or so if you count fast.) I'm notorious for accidentally deleting mail messages, so if you send something and don't hear from me within a day or two send me another message berating me for my irresponsibility. (Yes, it's fast. The rough timing test << TIME -> time << EVAL TIME time - 10000 * >> >> shows that a random mix of 100 control and printing characters takes about .35 seconds to display - about 2400 baud. ) ***************************************************************************** ** Bill Gribble Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, CA ** ** bgribble@jarthur.claremont.edu Never heard of it?
