I need some help concerning the downloading of programs, news, etc. from
the Hewlett - Packard bulletin board in Massachussets. I know the basics of how
to download, but that's about it. When I attempt to download, I pick the file,
then pick kermit (as it says to do so) protocol. Here in lis my problem. The
bbs instructs me to enter a receive command from my base computer, as I am
telnetting to the bbs. I don't know what to do from here. If anyone knows e
how to download, please inform me, either by e-mail or a response to this post
here, as I constantly read this newsgroup. I am using a mainframe account on
Penn State's VM and telnetting to the bbs.

Later , I got to find out that this was a problem with TELNET itself, since with a command called rlogin, I succeeded to do this inside our university, but then rlogin couldn't connect to the HP-BBS. If any body knows where the problem lies, and how can it be fixed - please respo nd to this posting . Thanks ~~~~~~~ Yaniv
