After reading the announcements on here and in various publications regarding the HP 95LX, I am still confused about the pager option that has been mentioned as being available later in the year. Is there any definite time frame? Will it be an internal option or an external option? How will one send the pages, using a separate modem, or it will be integrated into the pager option? Will there be a new verion of the 95lx that has the pager or will existing machines work with it? Any info would be appreciated! -Jims@Momenta.COM

The pager module for the 95 will be an add-on module that will connect (via a cradle that will make the unit slightly thicker) to the righthand end of the 95, making the unit almost two inches longer. The pager itself is a "receive" unit for receiving pages, and it is pretty much self contained (other than for the software that runs on the 95 for displaying/managing the pages). To send a page, you would need to connect the serial port to a modem (or directly) to a paging service. I'm not directly involved in the pager project, so give me a couple of percent error leeway :-).
